Tribhuvan University Alumni Association Nepal (TUAAN) is an association of students who graduated from Tribhuvan University (TU). TUAAN is established under the “TU Alumni Association Directives – 2074” which was approved by the TU Executive Council under the chairmanship of the Vice-chancellor on November 28, 2017.  TUAAN aims to unite and network with all the TU graduates, build up continuous interaction, and work towards the welfare of TU, society, and the country. The office of TUAAN is located at the TU Memorial building in Kirtipur, Kathmandu.

The VMGO of TUAAN

The vision of TUAAN is “Helping to enhance the lifetime relationship of all alumni with Tribhuvan University and work together for the benefit of each other” with the mission “To work for the welfare of alumni and the TU”. The main goal of TUAAN is “to promote the welfare and effectiveness of Tribhuvan University through the optimum utilization of alumni resources for the sustainable development and empowerment of TU”. The TUAAN has specific objectives to provide a forum for members of TU alumni throughout the world to interact and sustain a sense of belongingness through mutually beneficial contacts and to provide avenues for drawing upon the knowledge and expertise of the alumni for furthering the TU as a center of excellence. It also aims to generate academic, physical, and financial resources to establish and promote the core principles of TUAAN.

Structure

As per the directive, a general assembly of TUAAN elects the executive committee consisting of 27 members that constitute five officials (Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, General Secretary, Secretary, and Treasurer) and 22 members for four years tenure.  TUAAN held its fourth annual general meeting on 21st Poush 2079 (5th January 2023) at Smiriti Bhawan of Tribhuvan University (TU Memorial Building), Kirtipur and elected new executive committee for the next term.

Financial Management

The major source of fund of TUAAN is the membership fee. Other sources are the amounts received as grant assistance or donation from alumni, any person or organization and amount of loan or cash or goods, and donation obtained from the government of Nepal, foreign grants and assistance and consultancy and other services fee. TUAAN has its own account in Nepal Bank Limited at Kirtipur branch. One can contribute to TUAAN by depositing the amount directly to the current account no. 04500106501633000002.
